Guess who is back in Melbourne???
Thanks to Air Asia, everyone gets to fly! Made my decision just a week ago and bought my ticket immediately. Decided to enjoy my last holiday in Melbourne until the graduation ceremony in December. Travelling at non-peak periods definitely has its perks. Was able to change my seat since it wasn't full. Not sure if it is the daylight saving, but it only takes 7 hours and 15 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne.
After touching down, it was time to surprise the housemates! Only my roomie knew that I was coming back since I need someone to open the door for me. It was soooo good to see my lovely Vivi. While welcoming me, le housemate, Joe woke up and was surprised to see me. Surprise #1 worked! :)
Was absolutely starving and craving for my favourite Vietnamese Pho at Russel Street, Dzung.
Sliced rare beef is absolutely yummy!
Went home after brunch to unpack my things and managed to get a good nap before dinner. Then, I was off to my surprise #2, my little sister, Ashley at San Churros! Was supposed to meet her for dinner organised by le roomie but she was busy then I had no choice but to surprise her at Churros. Was definitely so happy to see the big smile on her face after she realised it was really me standing infront of her. Surprise #2 worked!
Day 2 - Time for surprise #3: Was sleeping when flower jie, Hwa dropped by the house to meet le roomie. Purposely bought and brought her colour dye that she wanted so much all the way from Malaysia to surprise her. Still couldn't believe her eyes, she kept asking me what am I doing here. Haha.. Spent the day with her -lunch and shopping!
PappaRich is definitely better in Melbourne than in Malaysia. I only ate once in Malaysia and it totally sucked. Service was really bad too. My usual order at PappaRich is the Hainan Chicken Rice priced at $11.50. Filling and yummy!
Perfect weather to be out in the sun today. Not too cold and not too hot. Ahh, I just love spring! Put on a cardigan and you are ready to go! Was planning not to buy any clothings yet since it is just the start of my holiday and was just supposed to get some amenities supply. However, I couldn't resist my current seasonal favourite colour - turquoise. Bought a dress, top, and shorts, all in turquoise! And also, we both got ourselves matching sunglasses!
After shopping, went on to surprise #4, Alicia at her apartment. We were whatsapping with my Malaysian number so she didn't suspect anything. Then, booyah! I was at her apartment buzzing up. She was speechless and still in shocked! Haha.. Surprise #4 worked like a charm!
Surprise #5 was at tai ka jie, Rachel at Meet Fresh. I had to cut the queue just to see her. She screamed and customers were looking at us. Hahaha... Surprise #5 accomplished!
For those that I have not surprised personally, well,
SURPRISE!
Call, text, or whatsapp me if you want to meet up!
Yours truly,
Mabs Chan
