Mabs Chan: Goodbye Melbourne

It's almost a week since I got back from Melbourne. Was supposed to stay in Melbourne till December but sudden change of plans, I booked my ticket last Monday and flew back two days later. It was a real sudden decision that was made within one night.

Had a really short farewell to say goodbye to most of my close friends since it was with such short notice. IF only I had more time, I would have done so many things differently. I would have partied hard the Friday before and eat all I want.

This sudden decision had taught me to appreciate what I have and live life to the fullest every moment I get. Because you won't know what is ahead of you. I used to just say this phrase without having actual experience of it. But after going through this incident, it hit me in the head. You may not be able to see that person anymore or you may not be able to do what you wanted to do all because you can't foresee the future.

I was really glad that most of my friends came for my farewell. If I had more time, I would have done a few separate farewells but I only had 2 days. Thus, I had to combine everything into one. I thought not many would show up since it was so last minute and was in such short notice (1 day). But most of them came despite everything. I felt truly blessed and loved for having such friends.

It was really a shock for everyone that I had to leave so soon. I was still in shock till I arrived back in Malaysia. Now, Melbourne was just a dream. The best experience of my life till today that is.
