Usually, when I go down to K.L., I would spend the whole day out. Going down on a weekday is definitely the best timing because you don't have to cram with others at shopping malls or at restaurants since it's a working day. You can take your time to shop and it is so much easier finding your size if you are buying clothes!
Anyhow, the fastest way to get to K.L. from Subang is to take the NPE highway, located near Sunway Pyramid and then take the SMART tunnel to get to Jalan Bukit Bintang or Jalan Sultan Ismail. All in all, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes without jam and driving at 100-120km/h. To me, the RM5.20 spent on toll is worth it.
So, the main point of going down to K.L. was to get my working clothes.I guess I have to buy less sun dresses and more professional looking clothes since "working corporate" is soon to be in my vocabulary. (IF all things go well *fingers crossed*)
Ootd - white sun dress from Gold Coast, pearl studs, dragonfly necklace, and Ted Baker watch.
Lucky me to have Sandy as my shopping buddy!
Started the day by having lunch at Lot 10 Hutong's famous hawkers food court. The food court comprises of a lot of famous hawker food from all over Malaysia. The place is fully air-conditioned with a clean environment. You can order all sorts of food from Hokkien Mee, to Roast Duck, to dim sums, and of course my ultimate favourite, Soong Kee's beef noodles! The price ranges from RM6 and above. You have to pay a good price for some good food.
Soong Kee's original beef noodles is located at the intersection of Jalan Silang and Jalan Bandar, nearby Central Market. The beef is so tender that Sandy says it doesn't taste like beef! Trust me, you won't regret it.
After satisfying the tummy, off we went on our shopping adventure. First stop, H&M! Newly opened H&M at Lot 10, occupies 3 floors for products for women, men, and kids. Well, the Swedish giant fashion retail who also opened another branch in Setia Alam Mall has been a great hit for fashionistas all over Malaysia. I definitely love the layout and design of the shop with cute lightings that shouts elegance and modern.
You can get all sorts of latest designs and fashions at a reasonable price. Tops can go as low as RM19.90, dresses at RM49.90, blazers at RM119.90, and you can even get jeggings for just RM79.90. It is really a one-stop shopping solution as you have clothes, accessories, footwear, hats, and bags. You may want to allocate a whole afternoon there since us girls have a tough time deciding which to get and the queue to the fitting room is really long.
After spending some time in H&M, we hopped over to Brands Outlet in Fahrenheit 88. My first time stepping into Brands Outlet since I came back from Melbourne. They have really cute clothings that is priced quite cheap. Dresses, working clothes, shorts, shoes for ladies, men clothings, and kids clothings too.
I am absolutely satisfied after picking up my working clothes from both the shops. Am already for work now! Teeheee! :)
We went back to Subang for dinner since people started get off work. After dinner, we went for dessert at Tong Pak Fu, SS15. It is located at the Maybank row facing SS14, situated closer towards McDonalds. I find it okay. Not too bad but not very worth it for its Snow Ice. I would prefer 100 yen's Snow Ice priced at RM5.90 that comes with real fruits and fruit puree. But I have to say that they have a lot of varieties to choose from.
Mango and Milk Snow Ice topped with cornflakes, popping pearl, and jelly on the left.
Chocolate Snow Ice with banana, coco jelly, and white pearls on the right.
Black Sesame Tong Yun Ball without the soup is definitely worth it.
Will definitely try other varieties when I go back to Tong Pak Fu.
The fun day ended and I was pretty tired after having a long day walking around in K.L. Till next time!
Yours truly,
Mabs Chan
